KSI Vs Alex Wassabi Trending Statistics

Back in March, Deji Olatunji fought Alex Wassabi in a YouTuber boxing showdown.

The decision didn’t go Deji’s way.

Up steps Olajide (better known as “JJ” or “KSI”), Deji’s older brother and fellow YouTuber, to challenge Wassabi and recover the honour of the Olatunji family.

KSI Vs Alex Wassabi date has been set for August 27th, 2022, at the O2 Arena in London where we’ll find out just who is the better Boxer of these YouTubers.

But what does the internet think of this fight?

In our modern age where views, clicks, and downloads are the main metrics of fame, success, and riches – how does this fight shape up and are the fans even interested?

I decided to take a look at the search volumes data to see just how popular this fight is becoming ahead of August 27th.

First let’s get some context, as the Deji and Wassabi fight was pretty popular itself.

Back in March when the fight was held, the term “Deji vs Alex Wassabi” generated 1,220,000 Google searches for that month.

The month’s leading up to the fight totalled 22,500 searches in January and 60,500 searches in February.

After that, search volumes dropped off a click and it was mostly people looking to watch the highlights of the fight. The online talk slowly dropped to a stop.

It’s started to pick up again for July 2022 as fans are reminiscing of the history behind KSI’s desire to beat Alex Wassabi, with a few thousand searches.

As rumours and speculation around this new fight picked up, so did the search volumes.

In June 2022, there were 3,605 searches for “KSI Vs Alex Wassabi”.

And now in July 2022 there are a total of 80,600 online searches for the KSI Va Alex Wassabi fight.

Comparing that to the month before Deji’s fight, KSI’s fight is already ahead by around 20,000 searches.

But it does beg the question whether the fans are interested in these YouTuber boxing matches as much as they once were?

KSI is undoubtedly a much bigger name than his younger brother with over 15 million subscribers on YouTube, closing on 7.8 million on Twitter, and so on.

Even so, it’s likely that come August we can expect to see the online searches for KSI’s fight to surpass Deji’s and could probably predict hitting 2 million+ searches in August 2022.
